Our Story
From a small growing operation to a trusted partner for culinary professionals
Joe Cox, Founder and Grower
Born and raised on the Oregon Coast in the Pacific Northwest, I always enjoyed gardening and farming. As I was trying out new varieties of produce, I came across microgreens and shoots. This style of growing presented a great opportunity to produce fresh veggies year-round in a small growing footprint, with amazing nutrient density.
After moving to Michigan, I began providing fresh, nutritious, home-grown microgreens to the Grand Rapids area. What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving business that supports local chefs, restaurants, and catering companies with premium microgreens year-round.
Microgreens and Shoots
Young vegetable greens that are harvested at about 1-3 inches tall. They offer unique flavors, colors, and textures with a rapid growth cycle of 7-21 days and extremely concentrated nutrient contents.
Sustainability
We use plant-based and compostable containers, send used soil and plant matter to neighbors for chicken nutrition, and partner with local food banks to deliver bonus microgreens.
